Current Contracts

MDI has provided Solid Waste Collection and Recycling to the United States Army at Fort Benning, GA from 1997 to 2003, and is currently in the second year of a new contract awarded in June 2007. Mark Dunning Industries also operated the Fort Benning landfill in a previous contract. Ft. Benning is home to over 30,000 Military personnel, over 9000 civilian personnel, more than 10,000 residents in Army Family Housing, and covers more than 180,000 acres.

Specific refuse services MDI has been providing to Fort Benning include the following:

• Scheduled collection of over eight cubic yard refuse containers throughout the installation.
• Scheduled weekly collection of eight cubic yard cardboard recycle containers throughout the installation.
• Scheduled and unscheduled collection of 20cy, 40cy roll offs, and 34cy compactors.
• Support for additional activities such as installation clean-ups and Morale Welfare, and Recreational functions.

MDI recently began service at Fort Carson starting Jan 2022 under subcontract.

Mark Dunning Industries, Inc provided Solid Waste Collection and Recycling to the United States Army under contract at Ft. Carson, Colorado from 2006-2011. Ft. Carson is home to over 18,930 military personnel, 3,000 civilian personnel, and covers more than 235,000 acres.

Specific services MDI. has been providing to Ft. Carson include the following:

• Scheduled collection of front load containers throughout the installation and remote ranges.
• As needed collection of twenty cubic yard roll-off containers throughout the installation.
• As needed collection of forty cubic yard roll-off containers throughout the installation.
• Support for additional activities such as installation clean-ups and MWR functions.

Mark Dunning Industries, Inc has provided Solid Waste Collection and Recycling to the United States Army under contract at Fort Lee, Virginia since 2004. Fort Lee is home to over 10,000 military personnel, over 4,000 civilians, more than 1300 residences in Army Family Housing, and covers more than 5,000 acres.

Specific services MDI. has been providing to Fort Lee include the following:

• Refuse removal for Family Housing quarters to include bulk item collection weekly and seasonal leaf and yard waste removal.
• 8 Curbside recycling for family Housing quarters weekly.
• Collection thirty-two gallon containers located in playgrounds throughout the housing area, parks, bus stops, ball fields, golf courses and sidewalks.
• Scheduled collection of eight cubic containers throughout the installation and remote ranges.
• As needed collection of thirty cubic yard roll-off containers throughout the installation.
• Scheduled collection of ninety-five gallon office-recycling containers located at buildings throughout the base.
• Support for additional activities such as installation clean-ups and MWR functions.
• Operation of on-post Recycling Convenience Center

Mark Dunning Industries, Inc has provided Solid Waste Collection and Recycling to the United States Army under contract at Fort Rucker, Alabama, since FY2000. Fort Rucker is home to over 5,500 military personnel, 7,000 civilian personnel, and covers more than 63,000 acres.

Specific services MDI. has been providing to Fort Rucker include the following:

• Refuse removal for Family Housing quarters to include bulk item collection, recycling,weekly and seasonal leaf and yard waste removal.
• Collection of fifty-five gallon containers located primarily in playgrounds throughout the housing area.
• As needed twenty cubic yard roll-off containers throughout the installation.
• Support for additional activities such as installation clean-ups and MWR functions.

MDI has provided Integrated Solid Waste Management to the United States Navy at the Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, Stennis Space Center, and surrounding areas since January of 2018 to Present. NCBC mission is to maintain and operate facilities and provide services and material in support of Naval Construction Force Units. NCBC Gulfport and Stennis Space Center are home to over 4,200 military personnel, more than 1,000 civilian personnel, and more than 6,400 national guard, retirees, and family members.

Specific services MDI performs include:

• Scheduled collection of 4, 6 and 8 CY refuse containers.
• On-call collection of 20, 30 and 40 CY roll-off containers.
• Unscheduled 30 and 40 CY scrap metal collection.
• Support for additional activities such as inspection installation clean-ups, morale welfare, and recreational functions.

MDI has been providing Roads and Grounds Maintenance, and Refuse Collection services to the United States Navy at Kings Bay, GA under subcontract since 1991, and is currently operating under its third contract. Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base is home to over 5,000 military and 2,000 civilian personnel, and more than 1,500 contract personnel. There are more than 3,000 residents in Navy Family housing.

Waste Management
Specific refuse services MDI has been providing to Kings Bay include the following:

• Scheduled collection of eight cubic containers throughout the installation.
• Scheduled collection of forty cubic-yard and thirty cubic yard containers throughout the installation and scheduled collection of metal containers for recycling.
• Complete support for wartime and security movements as required by the events of September 11th.
• Support for additional activities such as installation clean-ups and Morale Welfare, and Recreational functions.

Roads and Grounds Maintenance
MDI’s duties include the following:
Grass cutting, edging, tree pruning and cutting, planting, mulching, maintenance of flower and shrub beds, leaf collection, sodding, debris removal, pesticide application, fertilizing, litter pickup, street sweeping, irrigation maintenance and control, and operation of an inert landfill.

Integrated Pest Control
Mark Dunning Industries has been performing Integrated Pest Control Services to the United State Navy at Kingsbay Naval Submarine Base since 2007. The base consists of more than 16,000 acres, lying between the St. Marys and Crooked Rivers, on Kings Bay, an arm of Cumberland Sound.

MDI’s Pest Control operations include:
Miscellaneous Arthropod Pest Control, Cockroach Control, Controlling the Infestation of Bees, wasps, hornets, etc., Adult Mosquito Control, Rodent Control, Weed Control including Aquatic Plants, and Controlling Wood Destroying Organisms.

MDI has provided Integrated Solid Waste Management to the United States Navy under contract at NAS Pensacola, Corey Field, Saufley Field, NOLFs, and NAS Whiting Field since April of 2014. MDI previously held this contract for 15 years from 1984-1999. NAS Pensacola and NAS Whiting Field is home to over 14,000 military personnel, and covers more than 30 square miles.

Specific services MDI has been providing to NAS Pensacola, Whiting Field and NOLFs include:

• Scheduled collection of 4, 6 and 8 CY Front Load Refuse containers throughout the installation.
• Scheduled and Unscheduled collection of 20, 30 and 40CY Roll-Off containers, as well as 30CY self-contained compactors and 40 CY Receiver Boxes.
• Support for additional activities such as inspection installation clean-up and MWR functions.

MDI has provided Integrated Solid Waste Management to the United States Navy at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, and NAS Kingsville since October of 2015 to Present. NAS Corpus Christi and NAS Kingsville is home to over 3,200 military personnel, more than 5,300 civilian personnel, and more than 59,000 national guard, retirees, and family members.

Specific services MDI performs include:

• Scheduled collection of 4, 6 and 8 CY refuse containers.
• On-call collection of 12, 20, and 40 CY roll-off containers.
• Scheduled collection of ninety-five gallon refuse bins from installation facilities.
• Scheduled collection of Medical and FPOW wastes
• Support for additional activities such as inspection installation clean-ups, morale welfare, and recreational functions.

MDI has provided Solid Waste Collection and Recycling to the United States Air Force under contract at Kirtland AFB, NM since 2011. Kirtland is home to over 3,500 military personnel, over 2,000 civilians, more than 1000 residences in Military Family Housing, and covers more than 52,000 acres.

Specific refuse services MDI has been providing to Kirtland Air Force Base include:

• Scheduled collection of 6CY Front Load Refuse containers throughout the installation.
• Scheduled collection of 6CY Front Load Cardboard Recycle containers.
• Scheduled collection of 95 and 65 gallon Office Recycle containers located at buildings throughout the base.
• Scheduled and Unscheduled collection of 40CY Roll-Off containers and 34CY self-contained compactors.
• Collection of 30CY and 40CY Recycle Roll-Off containers located throughout the installation.
• Operation of Bulk Recycle Center to include but not limited to the capturing, processing, reporting, marketing, and sales of multiple recycle commodities.
• Support for additional activities such as inspection installation clean-up and MWR functions.

MDI has provided Integrated Solid Waste Management to the United States Air Force under subcontract at Keesler Air Force Base since October of 2010, and was awarded a follow-on contract as the prime contractor in 2015. Keesler Air Force Base is home to over  5,000 military personnel, more than 1500 civilian personnel, and more than 1000 contract personnel. In addition there are more than 600 residents in the Air Force Family Housing.

Specific duties that MDI performs include:

• Scheduled collection of  8 CY refuse and 8 CY cardboard containers.
• On-call collection of  40 CY containers and  30 CY containers, and compactors.
• Scheduled collection of ninety-five gallon recycle bins from installation facilities.
• Scheduled collection of fifty-five gallon wet food waste containers.
• Scheduled collection of thirty-five gallon containers from common areas around the base.
• Support for additional activities such as inspection installation clean-ups, morale welfare, and recreational functions.Operation of a fully functional Recycle Center to include but not limited to the capturing, processing, baling, reporting, marketing, and sales of the following recycle commodities:

Mark Dunning Industries, Inc has provided Solid Waste Collection and Recycling to Hunt Military Family Housing (MFH) under contract at Kirtland AFB, since January 1, 2018. Kirtland is home to over 3,500 military personnel, over 2,000 civilians, more than 1,200 residences in Military Family Housing, and covers more than 52,000 acres.

Specific refuse and recycling services MDI has been providing to Kirtland AFB MFH include:

• Weekly solid waste and recycling collection of 95G carts.
• On Call collection of 30 CY bulk refuse containers.
• Collection of waste containers at playgrounds.

Mark Dunning Industries, Inc has provided Solid Waste Collection and Recycling to Corvias Family housing under contract at Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field, FL, since FY2021. Eglin Air Force Base is home to over 10,000 military personnel, more than 8,500 civilian personnel, and more than 2,500 contract personnel. Eglin AFB covers 464,000 acres, spreading over 725 square miles. Hurlburt Field is home to over 8,200 military personnel, more than 1,800 civilian personnel, and more than 2,200 contract personnel. Hurlburt Field covers 6,700 acres.

Specific refuse services MDI has been providing to Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field include:

• Weekly refuse and recycling removal for Family Housing to include bulk item collection.
• Collection of On call scrap metal and C&D roll-offs.
• Collection of On Base Front Load containers.

Mark Dunning Industries, Inc has provided Solid Waste Collection services to the City of Corpus Christi, TX since June of 2017. Corpus Christi is home to over 320,000 citizens and covers more than 174 square land miles.
